She's married to Jonathan, her summer camp sweetheart of over thirty years, and is proud of their adult daughters---both inner city teachers and leaders with great wit and perspective themselves.

Lisa's Work:

As a Yoga Teacher Training Instructor RYT 500, Lisa leads co-ed trainings and women's healing retreats across Kentucky and abroad. She holds certifications from the Chopra Center in Meditation, and in Ayurveda. And is a SoulCollage® Facilitator and Trainer.
Certified in two hands-on-healing modalities, and ordained by Medicine Woman Rosalyn Bruyere, Lisa is a chakra health specialist trained in the Indigenous approach to energy healing. She's deeply influenced by the wisdom teachings of Vedanta and Ayurveda, Jewish Mysticism and Mussar, the Tibetan Bon, and the Native Medicine Wheel. In her work as a non-denominational chaplain, Lisa currently facilitates support groups in a variety of settings including cancer support in her home town.
A graduate of the Manchim Program of the Mussar Institute, Lisa leads study groups and retreats in this Jewish spiritual tradition exploring human soul traits (middot) in daily life experience.
Lisa was the founder and CEO of the non-profit, Girls Rock! Healthy Body Image, Self Esteem, & Empowerment Workshops for Girls and Moms (2004-2017), and guided teen mentors in publishing a book by the same title.

Her work as a Clinical Pastor with Hospice and two Kentucky hospitals, and as a spiritual rehabilitation counselor for Kentucky Center for Eating and Weight Disorders, have been essential elements in Lisa's core belief that even when a cure is out of reach, every human has the capacity for deep healing.
