I Am One Who knows how to combine the medicine of sleep with the medicine of fresh air and walking, walking, walking each day, loving conversation and touch, reading gorgeous stories, making plans with friends; quality family time, quality crafting time…
Our lives are fraught with challenge in every imaginable way; each of us is navigating and managing some kind of personal and global life stressor. And our human autonomic nervous system is dealing with theses stressors hour by hour every day:
Physically—too much cortisol and adrenaline stress hormones = inflammation.
Emotionally—fear and feelings of hopelessness = lethargy or hyperactivity, poor boundaries.
Mentally—forgetfulness and foggy thinking = disorganization, inability to problem solve.
Spiritually—loss of faith, lack of perspective = loss of hope, loss of purpose, loss of awe.
Loss of humor.
But yogic wisdom and modern science provide excellent tools for managing and even reversing stressors on the nervous system (and inside our very cells); these tools are as exciting as they are simple! And our SoulCollage® cards can be activated to chime in once the card maker is endowed with some basic knowledge.
This is an experiential workshop that includes:
Chair yoga
Pranayama (breathing practice)
Nervous system regulation techniques
SoulCollage® journaling
Bring your deck and choose ahead of time, one card from each Suit.
Don’t yet have a “deck” or Suits? Bring the cards you have and some additional images that will one day become cards—they all have something to say in the way of wisdom for your unique needs.
